This Report is an attempt to explain how the GMC works.  It shows how hard it was to reconcile the collective behaviour of the profession with the individual care, kindness and decency of the many doctors.  

It shares the knowledge, so that those who try to lodge complaints with the GMC will be better informed, so that public debate will be stimulated, and so that the medical profession will know more about what is being done in their name.
